Designers’ Notes:
The Nenow ornate oval diamond statement ring was designed using a mix of heirloom diamonds from a ring our client inherited from her grandmother, and new diamonds and morganite sourced by ASJ. Her grandmother’s ring was extra special because her grandfather who never spent lavishly, bought it as a gift, and her grandmother wore it always. We were asked to create a bold new design that would honor her grandmother who was feminine, nurturing, and always in-vogue. Our client was drawn to large chunky rings, and wanted this to also capture her grandmother’s “dainty, softness.” We used blush pink morganite to add rosy softness, and built a large pillow frame in 14k yellow gold, full of curves and dimension. We tucked 16 heirloom diamonds from her grandmother’s ring across the arch of her finger so she’d always know exactly where her grandmother’s original stones were in this ornate design.
