Palladium is a naturally white precious metal and part of the platinum family. Malleable and less dense than platinum, palladium is perfect for jewelry making and is also used in engineering products. All jewelry grade metals are mixed or alloyed with other metals to maximize durability and platinum is mixed with white metals like platinum, ruthenium, rhodium, iridium, or osmium to retain its silvery color.

What You Should Know About Palladium

Modern and edgy, palladium is is one of the rarest metals on earth and is naturally white, though has a perceptible gray tinge. Less traditional than platinum,  and crisper than white gold, it adds an alternative feel to engagement rings. Palladium was discovered in 1803 is named after the Pallas asteroid.
