Designers’ Notes:
The Katie marquise halo ring was created for our client who wanted a design with classic vintage influence but was up to par with modern technology and ethical standards. As a production designer our client had a very clear vision of the aesthetic direction for her ring, drawn to art deco and vintage influences. We drew from vintage ballerina and starburst halo designs to inform this unique marquise halo design. Beginning larger at the north end of the ring with three marquise cut diamonds, the halo tapers into smaller, round cut stones, before building up again at the southern most point of the ring with a baguette cut diamond. On either side, modern clusters of diamonds meld the halo into either side of the 14k yellow gold band. All of the diamonds used in the design are lab grown as it was a top priority for our client that the entire ring was ethically sourced.
