Designers’ Notes:
The Elana asymmetrical wedding bands were made to “crown” the Elana engagement ring to create a royal-esque, complete wedding set. Our client asked for a robust, whimsical expression of diamonds and gemstones and wondered, “how big can we go?” without getting “too big.”
We created these wedding bands to curve with the natural flourishes in her engagement ring, and then flip to nestle into each other when she wears them on their own. Flexibility is key for this one. She wanted them to make sense on their own, and when worn as a whole set. Per our client’s request we sourced lab grown diamonds and North American sapphires, paired with her grandmother’s heirloom diamonds to retain traceable provenance for all materials used in her ring.
