Getting Engaged in a Pandemic

  • Share:

The COVID-19 Pandemic has impacted each of us in different ways, and everyone has been stripped of things that make them feel safe and secure in some capacity. Whether that be financial security, relationship stability, health, or our communities. But when these things are challenged, we become empowered to find places of connection. These connections can come from within, creating communities, and it can come from your connection with your partner.

People want to walk this new and uncertain path together, and we want to encourage people to create unity in their own ways. For a lot of people, this time in quarantine has only solidified the fact that they want to spend the rest of their lives together. We’ve seen our clients powerfully stepping into a place of love and commitment, even if it looks different than the traditional proposal.

We want to empower people to get engaged on their own terms and in their own way. Maybe you’ve realized you want to get engaged sooner or later than you thought, just listen to your gut and do what’s right for you. This pandemic may have caused your values, thoughts, and timing on engagement to change– be present and honor that. It’s okay to shift directions or change paths in order to make it fit your life and your love.

There are so many rituals and traditions surrounding engagements, but in the end there is no wrong way to do it. There are also a lot of pressures surrounding proposals and engagements, from society, friends, and families. But at the end of the day, you need to be happy.

The Holly, Rose Gold Marquise Ring

Getting engaged doesn’t even have to involve a ring. You can propose with a necklace, a family heirloom, or even a verbal commitment to one another. When it comes to your love story, all things go– there is no wrong way to get engaged.

Every industry has changed and the world looks very different, but we are still open for love. Our team is here to help you get engaged in whatever way that looks like for you. We are open and working with clients remotely, and we’re here as a resource for you as well. There is no need to put a hold on your love story if you don’t want to wait. Above all, celebrate love and honor your path, no matter what it looks like.
