An engagement ring setting is the entire metal part of the ring that holds the all diamonds and gemstones in place. A unique engagement ring setting is one that is not commonly used and that looks unconventional or non-traditional. Setting your center stone horizontally or east-west, incorporating asymmetry into your ring, negative space, unique engagement ring cuts and shapes and varying sizes are all fairly uncommon and will result in a unique setting.
